Letter to the Editor: Equal Pay in the Real World by Bennet Campaign

On Tuesday April 15, the blog CO Politics run by Crossroads GPS posted an article titled Equal Pay in the Real World. This article focused on unequal pay in the workforce, specifically comparing and contrasting the average pay for female staffers on Republican and Democratic campaigns.

The article examines the average pay female staffers on different Democratic campaigns received compared to female staffers on Republican campaigns. However, the article neglects to clarify that Michael Bennet has not been accused of paying his female staffers less than their male counterparts. However, this article is using Michael Bennet’s name and campaign as a means to gain attention without fact checking or presenting accurate information.

Michael Bennet is an avid supporter of equal work for equal pay. As a husband and father to three daughters, he is working hard to pass the Paycheck Fairness Act. Bennet believes we need to create a brighter future for the next generation and understands that by decreasing the gender wage gap, we can work toward a brighter tomorrow.
